Questions

Do we need to whisper;
With all this noise?
(You don't really need to hear me)

Should sex be nasty;
With all these toys?
(You don't really need to feel me)

Can I whimper;
from the blades of grass?
(You don't really want to know me)

Soaring higher;
and then fall on my ass?
(You don't really need to show me)

You interrupted me;
could you see my stupidity?
(You don't really need to answer that)

We have these conversations;
each year a notch on a post?
(You don't really understand carving)

Every one a question;
every single part?
(Maybe you're on to me)

You push the buttons;
to get an earnest response?
(But you know all the answers)

So why all the questions;
for the sake of conversation?
(Haven't we discussed it all)
